JUST is an innovative alliance project that brings together Järvenpää’s social and health services under one roof. In addition to treatment facilities, e.g. adaptable multi-space offices for administration, back-office workspaces for nursing staff and the use of social security work, and new operating environments that respond to the changing needs of the social and health care sector in a new way.
3D simulation was used in the design of the facilities, where users got into the building that had been realistically felt and were able to evaluate the solutions made. The model saved money, as the right solutions made during the design phase streamlined operations and significantly reduced potential alterations to the finished building. We wanted to bring art and locality to the site, and we especially designed the lobby and hallway spaces so that they can hold changing exhibitions. Municipalities and staff were extensively involved in the planning. This investment and community-based planning method has increased satisfaction with the completed premises and made the site more relevant to both customers and staff.
