The Finnish Ambassador’s Residence in Ottawa, Canada, represents the style of North American architecture of the 1950s. The building was designed by architect William More, a pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright, in 1953 for his brother and his wife. The main building material is California redwood, and the floor is heated tile. The starting point of our design was to preserve and respect the original spirit of the building, but to combine new and older Finnish design and art that suits the environment. Storage furniture, dining table and e.g. patio benches were custom made for the project.
